Lisa Lee-Oswald, E-RYT 200
Owner | Instructor
Lisa never expected to start a business when she first stepped into a yoga class as a last resort to manage anxiety. What she discovered as she stumbled her way through her first class was a newfound sense of release and a fresh perspective on the problems that had been plaguing her for months. The experience was so liberating that Lisa decided to stumble through another class, and another, and another. As Lisa deepened her practice, and her anxiety began to ease, she realized that she had received an incredible gift through the practice of yoga and recognized a deep desire to share the peace and personal empowerment she gained every time she stepped on her mat. She completed her 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training through GreenMonkey at Toledo Yoga in October of 2016 and began teaching shortly thereafter. As life took Lisa and her family back to Wisconsin, she realized that she had an opportunity to share the practice she loves with the community she loves even more. In Lisa’s class, you can expect to be challenged to discover your own strength and peace while you push your perceived limits. Arrive, and discover what’s possible.

Melissa Pazurek, RYT 200
Instructor
After being introduced to the asanas in early 2015, Melissa instantly felt a connection with her mat and knew yoga was the missing piece to her life. For those first 60 minutes, her body and mind were at ease and anxiety started to take a backseat. Her passion for yoga only grew stronger and a deep desire for personal well-being pushed her to pursue Yoga Teacher Training. As a 2021 YTT graduate, Melissa brings a wealth of fresh knowledge and an unwavering drive to share yoga with those she comes in contact with. Melissa strives to help others feel inspired through yoga by leading classes that encompass moving meditations, mantras, and breathwork — cultivating an invaluable link between body, mind, and spirit. She hopes to leave her students with a sense of calmness and desire to live a yogic life both on and off the mat. When she’s not practicing yoga, Melissa enjoys spending her free time snuggled up reading a good book, lounging on the couch binge-watching Netflix shows, or spending quality time with her four daughters and significant other. Whether camping, boating, hiking, or fishing, there always seems to be an outdoor adventure awaiting.

Ashley Becker, RYT 200
Designer
Ashley began her yoga journey on a wiiFit in the early 2000’s. From there she taught after school yoga enrichments for elementary students and deepened her practice at home. After having 4 children of her own, yoga took a backseat. Some significant life changes lead Ashley back to her mat and she quickly realized it was exactly what she needed all along. Through her 200-hour teacher training in 2021 she not only gained a greater knowledge about the practice and history of yoga, but also experienced great personal transformation. It has shifted the way she interacts with herself and the world around her in the best possible way. She used to think that yoga was a time to think but she soon learned it was actually a time to listen – to her heart, body, and thoughts. In Ashley’s class you can expect to smile, connect, and challenge the narrative you hold around your abilities.

Kara Gunderson, RYT 200
Instructor
Kara has always been called to move. Growing up on the West Coast, she found great release in dance, roller skating, or even just hanging upside down on her backyard swingset and observing the earth from a different point of view. As a theater and communications student at UW Stevens Point, she was formally introduced to yoga via a professor. Kara like being guided not only by movements, but also by breath. Yoga helped her challenge herself without being competitive and find the calm she needed to get through life. While pregnant with her daughter, Kara received her 200-Hour yoga certification at Inner Fire Yoga in Madison, Wisconsin. Four years later, she’s a busy wife and mom, a health secretary at a local elementary school, and teaching yoga throughout the Stevens Point community to people of all ages and backgrounds. With a firm belief that yoga is for all, she offers all-level classes that encourage exploration and acceptance. Kara says her own personal practice helps her body and mind both be on the same page, and that is what she strives to help those in her class do as well. In Ashley’s class you can expect to smile, connect, and challenge the narrative you hold around your abilities.

Lauren “Ren” Priest, RYT 200
Instructor
Lauren “Ren” Priest has been drawn to the practice of yoga throughout the last 20+ years, but it wasn’t until her first practice at Plover Yoga that she began practicing regularly and discovered so much more than a studio space. In October 2021, she enrolled in Plover Yoga’s 200-Hour Yoga Teaching Training and hasn’t looked back. Ren’s newfound philosophy encourages growth and transformation, be it physical, mental, emotional, or spiritual. Whether you’re looking to ease your mind, or lose yourself in a rigorous physical sequence, she aims to share the many benefits of yoga and provide a safe, inclusive, fun, and supportive experience for you and your practice. Off-mat, Ren can be found graphic designing, performing with the local community theater, or frequenting book/coffee shops with her favorite humans. Becky Driver, RYT 200
Instructor
Becky started practicing yoga to add variety to her physical fitness regimen but she quickly realized yoga is so much more than physical postures. Showing up on her mat helped her learn to regulate her emotions, ease her anxiety, quiet her mind, and be more present, on and off her mat. It was then when she realized how important it is to develop a self-care practice, not just for physical fitness but also for mental and emotional well being. She started teaching yoga shortly after graduating from her 200 hour teacher training at Plover Yoga in the spring of 2022. She became a yoga instructor because she’s passionate about helping people develop and/or strengthen their own self-care practice through movement and mindfulness. Becky also holds a certificate in Trauma-Informed Yoga teaching. This training specializes in helping students establish greater self-regulation, and to also help them feel safe, supported, and empowered through choice and agency. Off her mat, Becky enjoys running, kayaking, cross country skiing, operating her local small business, and chilling out with her family.
